Suchana Seth Arrested for Killing her 4-year-old son in Goa

On Tuesday, January 9, authorities caught Suchana Seth, the Indian woman who ran and started an AI company in Bengaluru, for killing her four-year-old son. Seth started the Mindful AI Lab in 2020. Authorities caught her in Chitradurga, Karnataka, while she was carrying her son’s body in a bag.

According to the police, the 39-year-old woman did this horrible thing so that her ex-husband could not meet their child. Seth began an AI business, has a master’s degree in physics, and was once the best student in Sanskrit.

WHAT DOES SUCHANA SETH DO?

Suchana’s LinkedIn page says that she is an expert in AI ethics and a data scientist with more than 12 years of experience.

As part of her job, she helped data science teams learn how to scale machine learning solutions at companies and research labs in the business world.

Her profile also highlights her inclusion on the “100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics List”. Furthermore, it mentions her roles as a Mozilla Fellow at Data & Society, a Fellow at the Berkman Klein Centre at Harvard University, and a research fellow at the Raman Research Institute.

She also holds patents in natural language processing.

MASTERS IN PHYSICS and SANSKRIT TOPPER

Suchana is the CEO and founder of The Mindful AI Lab. He has a first-class M.Sc. in physics from the University of Calcutta. She is an expert in both plasma physics and astronomy.

Her LinkedIn page says she also has a postgraduate diploma in Sanskrit and got the top grade in the course.

In the past, she earned her B.Sc. in Physics with Honors at Kolkata’s Bhawanipur Education Society College.

The Murder of Boy

To keep her ex-husband from seeing their son, the accused planned a trip to Goa with her child, according to the cops. Before the meeting, she killed the child in a room at a service flat in North Goa.

The staff became suspicious when they saw that the woman had checked in with her son but was then left alone. The staff discovered the crime.

After calling emergency services (112), the cops found her and arrested her. Police found the boy’s body in the car she was riding in. Police arrested the woman in jail on murder charges.
