Guzar Jayega: Amitabh, Kapil and 80 Other Celebs In New Song Spread Positivity

More than 80 celebrities from India have come together for the track Guzar Jayega. The song aims to spread hope amid the COVID-19 pandemic across India. The motivational song Guzar Jayega includes Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Ekta Kapoor, and Shreya Ghoshal among others.
Narrated by Amitabh Bachchan, the song, Guzar Jayega also features other Indian artists. They include Kapil Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Sunny Leone, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Shaan. The song has been composed by Jazim Sharma with lyrics penned by Siddhanth Kaushal.
After appearing in this song, Sunny Leone said: “These are testing and difficult times, we all have come together to instill hope and courage through this song Guzar Jayega, we are in this together and this too shall pass, stay home and stay safe.”
Celebrities share their views on the motivational song
Shreya Ghoshal also said nothing encapsulates the current emotions like Bachchan’s voiceover in the video, which says, “It’s just time, it shall pass.” Shreya stated: “We will have a plethora of emotions to indulge in, and realize there’s always a greater sunrise after the darkest of nights. I am happy to be a part of the song where everyone has come together for a communication this too shall pass.”
Ekta Kapoor said “Tough times can be handled well when the entire industry is coming together for a cause. This initiative has brought in everyone as one India to portray we will win.”
The song Guzar Jayega is the brain child of Varun Prabhudayal Gupta and Jay Verma. The song also brings together sports personalities including Sania Mirza, Vijendra Singh, Mahesh Bhupati, Bhaichung Bhutia, and Leander Paes.
Varun stated: “With what’s happening around us, Jay and I thought that people needed some hope in these testing times. This is exactly the message behind Guzar Jayega. It is the first time in world history that 50 singers and 55 personalities from various fields have united and come forward to support a cause.”
India extends nationwide lockdown
The government of India has extended its 40-day lockdown that was due to end on 3 May by another two weeks. It will be the third extension since PM announced a total lockdown in India on 25th March to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic. Following Modi’s announcement, India has been under total lockdown since the last 2 months. Indian government took the step to prevent the spread of Covid-19 across the country.
