Deepika shared the trailer on her Instagram and wrote.
Rarely do you come across a story where you do not need an entire narration to decide if you want to be a part of a film or not. What is even rarer is to not be able to articulate and put into words what you feel for the film and its journey…Chhapaak is all of that and more for me… Presenting the trailer of #Chhapaak #AbLadnaHai.”
Here’s what Deepika had to say at the launch!
She started off saying how difficult and real this role was her when she was offered this movie. She also added that,
“Irrespective of how it’s received and how it does, it will be my most special film of my career and I truly hope that all of you see the impact that the film is supposed to have on of all us and the reason why we did this . I hope yo you see in it what we saw in it.
She further added,
We made it with lots of love, lots of passion and lots of enthusiasm and responsibility.”
It’s absolutely amazing to see Deepika taking up this role. During the Q&A session, someone from the audience asked Deepika is she felt scared looking at herself for the first time after putting on the prosthetics. And my oh my, Deepika’s response was absolutely beautiful.
Here’s what she said:
” The word that you have used feeling “scared” is a very wrong word here. We should not use that vocabulary at all.”
Well, kudos to Deepika for inspiring people around her. This was definitely a bold step. The powerful role, the powerful dialogues already have us hooked. We can’t for its release in January 2020.
