We all love Tom Holland for his role in Spiderman, but what if we tell you that there was a Bollywood actor who first auditioned for the Spiderman role and he almost got it?

Bollywood’s Tiger Shroff was first auditioned for the film before debuting in the Bollywood industry. Tiger himself stated in his recent interview that he was “close” to playing the popular superhero.

It would have been a great thing to watch Tiger playing Spiderman because the way he does stunts surely put more power into the role.

While talking to the ConnectFM Canada, Tiger told the whole story of his audition before debuting in Bollywood.

Tiger Shroff Gave Spiderman Audition

In conversation with the Baaghi actor, Tiger said I had auditioned for Spider-Man. I had sent them my tapes also, my showreel. They were quite impressed with what I could do.

My pitch to them was ‘I’d save you a lot of money on VFX because I can do most of what Spider-Man can do.”

Although he didn’t mention for which spiderman movie he gave an audition, from our research it might have been for Captain America: Civil War in 2016, which is when a new Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, debuted.

Because the film was released after two years of Tiger Shroff’s Bollywood debut in Heropanti.

Not A Role But Became Holland’s Voice

Tiger although didn’t pass through the audition, became a dubbed voice for the Hindi version of the Spiderman movie.

His voice acting has been appreciated by the actor himself. At that time, Holland had said, “I’m glad someone so talented will be doing voices for me.”

Last year Spiderman: No Way Homecoming was released and it crossed and received endless love for bringing old OG Tobey Maguire.
