Renowned Designer Rohit Bal is still Critically ill and on a Ventilator

Celebrated fashion designer Rohit Bal is in critical condition and is on ventilator support, HT City reported, quoting sources. He has been reportedly admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, near Delhi, for the last four days.
Bal, 62, has a pre-existing cardiac condition, according to the report.
He was rushed to the hospital by model Suraj Dhalia, according to the report. “His heart was sinking, and he was unconscious. His pacemaker gave seven shocks. He was initially taken to Moolchand, and when his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Medanta,” a close friend told HT City.
Rohit Bal is renowned for his ability to blend distinctively Indian crafts with trendy trends. He just debuted the “Balance” menswear collection for fall and winter 2023.

He began his professional career in 1986 as a co-founder of Orchid Oversea Pvt. Ltd. with his brother. In 1990, he released his solo collection.
The designer, whose creations have been shown in multiple fashion shows worldwide, has dressed international stars like Uma Thurman, Cindy Crawford, and Pamela Anderson in addition to the leading actors in India. In 2007, he created the saree that British actress Elizabeth Hurley wore to her wedding in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Bal graduated from Delhi’s St Stephen’s College with a degree in history. He was born into a Kashmiri Pandit family in Srinagar. After that, he attended Delhi’s National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to study fashion.
