Junior Mehmood Passes Away at 67

Veteran actor Junior Mehmood passed away at 67 after a prolonged battle with stomach cancer. His burial occurred on December 8, and a gathering of Bollywood stars attended to honor the late comedian. Jaya Bhattacharya paid her respects at his residence.

On the night of December 7, Junior Mehmood’s health declined, leading to an urgent visit to Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Despite oxygen support, he couldn’t overcome the battle.

Salam Kazi, a friend, revealed, “He was ill for 2 months, and initially, we thought it might be a minor problem. However, his weight started decreasing suddenly. Medical reports indicated cancer in the liver and lungs, a tumor in the intestine, and jaundice. It was diagnosed as stage four cancer.”

The burial ceremony took place at Juhu Muslim Cemetery, where Junior Mehmood rests beside his mother. Johny Lever joined Junior Mehmood’s sons, Hasnain Sayed and Husanrafi Sayed, at their residence. Comedian Sunil Pal also paid tribute at the late comedian’s home.

In 2021, a famous actor, Sidharth Shukla, also lost his life.
