Following Bomb Threats at about 44 Schools, Police reassured Parents

In Bengaluru, at least 44 schools received anonymous bomb threat emails, causing widespread panic. Schools in Yelahanka, Basaveshwaranagara, and other areas have received these alarming emails, as well as several schools in Anekal. A bomb detection squad is checking the school premises, according to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda.
“Police, bomb detection, and bomb disposal units have been rushed to the scene. This type of fake threat has also been seen before and was determined to be mischief. I urge people not to panic. There’s a good chance it’s a hoax,” the police commissioner said.

Approximately 44 schools in Bengaluru have reported receiving threat emails, according to the city’s police commissioner. So far, no suspicious activity has been found despite conducting searches.
DK Shivakumar visited one of the schools that received bomb threats and appealed to the public not to panic.
“An email bomb threat was sent to the school in front of my house as well. I went out to find out more after seeing it in the media. Shivakumar remarked, “I’ve talked to the police, and nothing to worry about.
In a letter to parents regarding the security threat, one of the schools that received the bomb threat advised them to send their children back home per the bomb squad’s recommendation.
