Abhishek Sharma Moves to No. 2 in ICC T20I Batting Rankings

Abhishek Sharma, the star Indian cricketer, has surged 38 spots to claim the second position in the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings after delivering a stellar performance against England.

Sharma smashed 135 runs off just 54 balls in the final T20 match, setting a record for the highest individual score by an Indian in men’s T20 cricket. His explosive innings featured 13 sixes, and he reached 100 runs in just 37 balls — the second-fastest century by an Indian in T20I history.

Travis Head of Australia retains the top spot with 855 rating points. Sharma’s leap pushed fellow Indian Tilak Varma to third, while Suryakumar Yadav holds fifth place.

Indian bowler Ravi Bishnoi also made strides, climbing four spots to sixth after taking five wickets during the series against England.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s star players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan slipped to seventh and ninth positions, respectively. Australia’s Steve Smith advanced three spots to secure fifth place.
