10 Best Movies Like Karwaan:
1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011):

This movie is about three friends who face their fears by going on a bachelor’s trip to Spain that they planned while they were in college. As they drove from Barcelona to Costa Brava to Seville to Buñol to Pamplona, enjoying the famous La Tomatina Festival and doing exciting things like flying, deep-sea diving, and a bull run, they made people want to plan a trip to Spain.
I put a dream car trip through Spain on my list of things to do in Europe before the movie was even over. The movie has everything you need to feel like a traveler again. This is one of those Indian road trip movies that makes you want to pack your bags and go.
2. Waiting (2016):

While some movies try to be too dramatic and make you cry, Anu Manon’s Waiting is a brilliant work that tells the emotional story of two people from very different backgrounds whose wives have been hospitalized for almost identical conditions.
Even though Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin, two of the most experienced actors in the country, play the lead roles, the rest of the group is also very good, and they all work well together to make the movie a success. The movie is mostly set in a hospital, and the lighthearted way it deals with serious topics like death keeps you watching until the very end.
3. Piku (2015):

The movie Piku is a slice-of-life story about a father and daughter in love as they drive from Delhi to Kolkata. The movie shows the real beauty of Kolkata in a subtle way. It shows the lazy mornings, the bylanes that can be explored on bikes, the Howrah bridge, and how history is giving way to technology. The trip goes through the Yamuna Expressway and Varanasi on the way.
4. Highway (2014):

Veera is taken from a highway where she was with her fiancé the night before her wedding. When the kidnappers and their boss, Mahabir, find out that she is the daughter of a famous businessman, they become very scared. They plan to be on the move and go from Mumbai to Kashmir, stopping in different cities along the way. Surprisingly, Veera feels free after being taken away, and she tells Mahabir some dark secrets from her childhood.
With all of its shooting spots, Highway will really push you to get up and go. You can walk in the Spiti Valley of Himachal, go trekking in the Pahalgam Mountains and the Aru Valley, find peace at the Tabo Monastery, see how big Sambhar Lake is in Rajasthan, see how religious Ajmer Sharif Dargah is, be alone at Nurmahal in Faridkot, Punjab, and enjoy the beauty of the countryside.
5. Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva (2022):

The story of Shiva, a young guy who is about to fall in love with a girl named Isha. But everything changes when Shiva finds out that he has a strange link to the Brahmastra and a great power inside him that he doesn’t fully understand yet: the power of fire.
6. Queen (2013):

Queen tells all girls to get over their fears, pick up the phone, and go on a trip by themselves at least once in their lives. In the movie, a girl goes to Paris by herself on a trip that was meant to be her honeymoon.
As the main character, Rani, walks around the beautiful streets of Paris and Amsterdam, she falls in love with herself. The movie beautifully changed what it means to travel alone. The trips we take by ourselves are really the trips we take into ourselves.
7. Mukti Bhavan (2017):

Mukti Bhawan is not a movie about death; it’s about life and relationships that make us who we are in a city that sometimes sees death as a part of life and sometimes as a reason to celebrate. It tells the story of a reluctant son who has to take his dying father to Varanasi, where the dying father insists on dying and finding salvation. Adil Hussain and Lalit Behl do a great job in Mukti Bhavan, which is an interesting comedy-drama even though it’s about a serious subject like death.
8. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013):

When the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani came out, it made almost everyone want to travel again. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a cute movie about coming of age that also makes you feel good about life, love, and friendships. It follows the life of a trip lover named Kabir. Some parts of Europe are shown in the movie, along with the beautiful mountains of Manali and Kashmir and the city of Udaipur.
9. Jab we Met (2007):

Aditya is very sad because his father died and he lost his girlfriend. As luck would have it, he gets on a train and meets Geet, a happy-go-lucky girl. An upset Geet tries to get Aditya back on the train after he gets off. She does not catch her train and blames Aditya for it. She keeps asking him to take her to Bhatinda, which is her home. They take a car trip from Ratlam to Bhatinda because they missed the train twice. He learns about Geet’s plan to run away with her boyfriend Anshuman with Aditya’s help, and the two of them take a road trip from Bhatinda to Manali again. A trip helps Geet and Aditya figure out who they are, what they want out of life, and who they want to be with.
Most of the movie was shot in famous places in Northern and Western India. A road trip from Ratlam to Bhatinda takes them through some of Rajasthan’s rich history, stopping at Havelis and Forts in Mandawa Village and Jhunjhunu.
