 Indian Couple Struggles To Save Their New Born In UAE

Indian couple in UAE welcome their first baby after eight years of marriage. However, they were later informed that their baby had multiple life-threatening complications. Now, the couple is struggling to save the life of their 4 month baby boy as the bill continues to mount.

The baby has had four major surgeries and a number of complications. Infections still continue to hound him, not letting him out of the hospital. He has been in the hospital ever since he was born, and apart from his bleak survival chances, the couple is now staring at a Dh1.7 million hospital bill.

The baby was born pre-mature in 24 weeks of gestation.

Father Resil Vasudevan said, “From bleeding in the brain to a number of back to back infections, my son has gone through a lot. Our ordeal started from day 8 after his birth. Doctors noticed a bulge in the stomach. It was found that his intestines were leaking from four places. It was quite complicated and a part of his intestine was kept outside his body to see if it functioned.”

Indian couple donates late daughter’s kidney

Moreover, few days back, another news of same sort circulated on internet. An Indian couple based in the UAE donated their late daughter’s kidney to a seven-old-year boy who had been on dialysis for the last five years.

The couple, Keerti and Arun lost their six-year-old daughter, Devisri last year due to pulmonary hypertension and heart issues. They donated her organs to the kids who are suffering from life-threatening diseases. Devisri’s second kidney was donated to a 15-year-old boy in Abu Dhabi. And, her liver to an adult living in Saudi Arabia.
