Written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya, this comedy flick promotes the idea that a man can love another man and live happily ever after. The concept also received backlash from some people when its trailer was released.

“Every human being must-see Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan. It’s hilarious but so brave and such an important film for same-sex love, equality and rights,” writer-director Milap Zhaveri tweeted before the film release.

The movie is being tagged as an average rom-com

Debutant actor Jitender Kumar plays the romantic interest of Ayushmann in the film. They have performed the difficult task of making the audience believe that the two men are so deeply in love. As per the early reviews, this time Ayushmann couldn’t spread his charm to win the audience.

Ayushmann Khurrana earlier told media, “Our film is one of its kind. It is a giant leap for Indian cinema where we are portraying two men as homosexuals, and we are very front-footed about it. It is also the reaction of the family when they find out that their son is gay.” Khurrana added, “Though we have seen films which are based on homosexuality in the past, this is probably the first commercial attempt in Hindi cinema”.

However, even if the movie is not receiving much of positive response but still it is entertaining in some parts. It’s easy to watch, light comedy (one time) movie.
