UK Woman Shares Her Experience Growing Up in Osho’s Community

A 54-year-old woman named Prem Sargam recently shared her story about growing up in a spiritual community led by Indian guru Osho, also called Rajneesh. In an interview, she described the challenges she faced while living in different Sannyasin communities.
Prem said her father left their home in the UK to join Osho’s ashram in India, and soon after, she and her mother followed him. They gave her a new name, dressed her in orange clothes, and she followed the group’s teachings.

She explained that life in the community felt very different. She moved to several ashrams, including one in Oregon, USA, while still young. As she got older, she began to understand her experiences better.
